Silver Lining was again successful and received the award for Best Painting at the AGRA Winter Exhibition in mid July.The judges were Alan Rawady and Lyn Mellady.

Box Hill Community Art Centre on Friday mornings has become our new home for classes! We have a lovely space full of light with a pleasant outlook on to the community gardens.

HORIZONS has been well received by St Vincents Hospital and they have EXTENDED the exhibition to include January as well!
Also I will be doing a lunchtine Demo and Artists Talk in early December so look out for details if you would like to hear more about the joys and hazards of painting these sorts of paintings on location!

Horizons has been hung at the St Vincents Art Gallery in the Daly Wing at 35
Victoria Parade Fitzroy.
The show will be officially opened on Sunday the 4th
of November at 3pm by Jan Lowe the President of AGRA (Australian Guild of Realist Artists).

The Pastel Society of Victoria is currently having their annual exhibition at Victorian Artists Society in East Melbourne with a wonderful range of paintings on view,
I was delighted to receive the Best Seascape Award at this exhibition with my painting "Silver Lining"

My next workshop and demonstration day will be on the exciting theme of PAINTING DRAMATIC SKIES IN PASTEL.
I have an exciting an informative day mapped out for those enthusiastic pastellists with an interest in making  a statement and understanding more about sky painting in pastel.

As soon as the sun comes out after the Winter chill, I can't wait to brave the elements again!
This was the setting of Jan Juc (Cliff painting looking South) on a perfect day at the start of Winter. My easel was just being set up  and pastels are raring to go!
Photos are great but only tell part of the story for the artist....BEING THERE is WONDERFUL! I am off now for some inspiration!!!
